On Saturday, May 20, the Holland America Line ms Koningsdam was dedicated in Rotterdam. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, the Godmother of the vessel, was onboard for the ceremonies.

The Koningsdam has left the shipyard and is currently sailing the Mediterranean. We have produced four brand new shows for ship to be presented in the the fantastic new World Stage. I will post sights and sounds as soon as they are available. In the meantime, here’s a quick preview of the theater with my friend, Bill Prince.

I was asked to score this overview piece for Holland America’s new Flagship, the Koningsdam. The spot was produced by the fine folks at Hey Advertising in beautiful downtown Seattle. It was a lot of fun and makes me want to go on a cruise!
This past December another 10 shows debuted on the high Seas. With my friends at RWS and Associates we did five shows for Holland America’s Eurodam and Westerdam. It was great working with this talented bunch of folks and I look forward to many more.
This summer has been crazy so far with all the music for these ship shows. With six shows for Seabourn (SBN) and five for Holland America Line (HAL), it’s an amazing feat! Well, just when I can say that it couldn’t get any busier, the phone rings again. I’m very fortunate to be able to work on so many great projects all at once.

I was asked a couple weeks ago to do a show for Holland America Line. It’s a great opportunity and fun people to work with, who also happen to be friends which makes it even better! You’ll have to get on a ship to see this one, though 🙂
