Disneyland Paris – Here I Come!

May 17 2012

Next week I’ll  be in Paris for a couple days and have an opportunity to visit Disneyland during my stay.  Aside from the fact that it’s Paris – hello?!….it’s a double thrill for me.  Can you imagine, after all these years of doing music for the Disney Parks.  I’ve never heard any of my work in the park.  Next week will change all that when I’m there for the 20th Anniversary Celebration train.  I’m also looking forward to hearing my good friend Marco’s song in the day parade and Joel McNeely’s great work on the new castle show.  Pictures and stories when I return from my trip!

Tokyo Disneyland “Disney’s Natsu Matsuri” Recording

April 25 2012

It has been a busy couple weeks of recording for the Nastu Matsuri summer show at Tokyo Disneyland.  I was lucky to write one song and do arrangements for a few of them.  This was an usual project in that there were may composers involved.  It was so much fun to see all of my friends and colleagues throughout the week for recording: Gordon Goodwin, Greg Smith, Don Harper and Justin Avery.  Wow!  What a treat to get to be on the same list as these incredibly talented people!  This morning I participated in the vocal recording for my cues via Skype.  Everything sounds fantastic and this is going to be quite a show!

We recorded the instruments at Capitol Recording Studios in Hollywood, California.  I always feel important when my name is on a parking place (even if it’s temporary!)  Can’t wait to see the show on YouTube in a couple months.

Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary Celebration Train

April 9 2012

Disneyland Paris has just begun celebrating their 20th Anniversary.  There are a couple new songs at the park.  One of them I wrote with my friend Valerie Vigoda.  It’s being used for the character train the goes down Main Street to the Castle several times each day for a character meet and greet.  Thanks to dlrpmagicvideo for posting it!  Yes, those are my kids at the beginning of the song :)

Easter at Tokyo Disneyland

April 5 2012

It’s Easter again at Tokyo Disneyland!  This is the second year of this parade.  Last year, this is that parade that re-opened the park after the tragic earthquake in Japan.  Thank you to chacha3rei8 for posting this great video.

Happy Easter everyone!

Angelica Vale

February 28 2012

I’ve been asked to do an album for Angelica Vale.  She is a Mexican actress, comedienne and singer.  The album is a tribute to her mother, Angelica Maria who has been extremely well known as an actress and singer in Mexico and Latin America since the early ’60′s.  The songs are beautiful and I’m looking forward to working with Angelica next week as we finish up her vocals.  The album should be released in Mexico just in time for Mother’s Day.

Busy, Busy, Busy

February 12 2012

Well, just when I can say that it couldn’t get any busier, the phone rings again.  I’m very fortunate to be able to work on so many great projects all at once.

Holland America keeps chugging along.  Three shows that are scheduled to debut on the MS Westerdam in early May.

Tokyo Disneyland – busy working on the new summer splash show that I have written a song for.

Tokyo Disneyland – we will be starting work on some new Halloween material soon.  I will post what I can when I know more.

Warner Mexico – I am starting a wonderful new record for them and should be able to post details later this week.

I’ll try to keep more up to date in between somehow in between arranging, writing and producing my little tail off!

Happy New Year!!!!!

January 2 2012

The holidays are always crazy around our house and this year was no exception!   Here’s a quick update.

Holland America Line

Currently, I’m working on three shows for them (15 songs each – wow!).  The people I collaborate with are great and a lot of fun.  It’s looking like this could be a relationship that continues for a quite a while and will require quite a lot of my time and attention.  I’m really looking forward to this new adventure!

Warner Mexico

I did a beautiful version of Ave Maria for Marconi.  I believe it was used over the holidays.  As soon as possible, I will post it.

Disneyland Paris

I wrote a song with Valerie Vigoda that will be used in a character parade several times each day around the park.  I’m always excited to get to work with my good friend, the music director at the park, Vasile Sirli!

Tokyo Disney

I wrote a song for their summer water show show at TDL and will be arraigning some of the music as well.  They are using a few different arrangers and song writers for this show.  It’s shaping up to be a blast (of water, that is – haha).

Puss In Boots DVD Bonus Material

I was asked to do some arrangements of children’s nursery rhymes for bonus material on the upcoming DVD release of Puss In Boots for Creative Pulse Media.  Lots of fun.  More as the release gets closer.

There are a few other things in the works.  More as they happen.

Happy New Year to all!

Alexander Acha – ‘Gracias’ Video

December 6 2011

Apparently, it’s new video week at Warner Mexico; Marconi last week and Alexander Acha this week.  Alexander’s new video for the song ‘Gracias’ was released today.  Following nearly 2 million YouTube views of ‘Amiga,’ hopefully, this will be as well received!   It’s a lot of fun.  Enjoy!

Marconi – Tan Enamorados Video

November 29 2011

Warner Mexico has released another single for Marconi following the success of Desesperadamente Enamorado.  The song is called Tan Enamorados.  Check out the video.

Zendaya on Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade

November 23 2011

Happy Thanksgiving! With more than 3 million views of the video on YouTube, Zendaya is doing great with Dig Down Deeper. Make sure to catch her performing the song on the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade. Im thrilled that something I produced and am so proud of will be showcased in this venue!
